University Clinical Aptitude Test (UCAT)

The University Clinical Aptitude Test (UCAT) is an admissions test, used by a consortium of UK and International Universities to help select applicants for their medical and dental degree programmes.

What Cambridge Professional Trainers does for you

The UCAT is an exam in English (rather than a test of English) and as such requires detailed and focussed knowledge of a wide range of relevant subject matter, rapid and accurate processing skills, and excellent communicative competency. We give you the strategies to develop and use your critical reasoning clearly in English

We are currently preparing students for the 2024 test cycle.

  • Booking for the 2024 cycle (for entry to university in 2025) opens on 08/06/24. Testing begins on 18/07 /24.

All applicants should check the entry requirements for each course with the relevant university before booking a test.

Full information can be found on the UCAT test administrator’s website, here.

  • The UCAT asks questions which test your verbal reasoning, abstract reasoning, situational judgement, quantitative reasoning and decision-making.

Sample questions in these areas can be found on the UCAT administrator page, here
