John is a DELTA-qualified teacher with more than 20 years’ experience training business and medical professionals. He has also worked in software engineering, project management, and academic management. He holds a degree in English Literature from Cambridge University.

After graduating, he worked for ten years in Italy, teaching mainly professional English in companies such as Telecom Italia, SNAM, and Banca di Roma. He taught for three years at the Ministry of Defence. After returning to the UK he worked as an in-house trainer in Morgan Stanley, Barclays Capital, Shell, BP, GlaxoSmithKlein and elsewhere, and for five years was a project manager in a software engineering firm. Most recently he has been working as a trainer and Academic Advisor at OISE Cambridge.

John is a certified OET trainer.
